Thursday, May 12, 2011 - Modern Art Catering helped put together a Patron hosted cocktail party for a group of entrepreneurs meeting at 1st Century Bank in Century City. We made small bite appetizers, such as mini tortilla cups filled with a zesty and sweet chicken salad and cool, refreshing gazpacho shooters. The bar poured Patron's new Vodka and the guests mingled, drank happily and ate to their hearts content.

Saturday, February 18, 2011 - Modern Art Catering helped celebrate a 60th birthday party held in an amazing and beautiful home in La Canada. A rock band played classic hits while Modern Art servers filled wine glasses and served five courses, including a corn chowder, chipotle smoked shrimp and a butter poached lobster dish. For our dessert, chef Matt transformed creme brulee into a new and exciting form, with a phyllo dough cup and house-made dulce de leche. It was such a fun evening!

Saturday, January 1, 2011 - The theme of this years Rose Parade, held annually in Pasadena, was "Building Dreams, Friendships and Memories." Each year, Wells Fargo, a national sponsor of the parade, hosts a party for it's clients to view the parade from one of the best views on the whole route. For the theme this year, Modern Art Catering dressed the offices and balcony with a modern winter wonderland motif and served delicious pastries, made to order breakfast burritos and crepes, delicious bloody marys and mimosas, and a host of other fun and exciting treats to usher in 2011. As always, the children weren't forgotten and MAC brought in child specialist Nicole Taylor to design a children's corner adorned with delicious snacks and fun activities. We had a lot of fun putting on the event and can't wait till next year! Happy New Years everyone!

Saturday, December 18, 2010 - Modern Art Catering served eight appetizers in a stunning Modern Art Gallery in Beverly Hills to the world renowned architecture firm, Richard Meier's, who designed both this gallery and the Getty Museum. A jazz pianist set the mood while cold drinks, specialty cocktails and beer on tap flowed through the party. Each appetizer was carefully crafted after eight modern art paintings and beautifully wowed the guests helping create an amazing, delicious and aesthetically wonderful holiday event.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010 - Modern Art Catering served two courses to an all girls private school, Mayfield Sr., for their annual Christmas Luncheon. Our servers plated 300 dishes to eager and hungry diners while pouring delicious and refreshing glasses of Ice Tea. Our luscious dessert, a chocolate cup filled with chocolate mousse & butter cream, was a huge hit. Thanks to everyone who helped, it was a great success!

Saturday, October 16, 2010 - We served 6 courses to happy filmmakers in a beautiful home on a hillside of Beverley Hills. Our theme was a French Countryside menu and one of our courses included a take on the classic salad, Frisee Au Lardon, and instead of Bacon we added slow roasted Pork Belly. The meal was delicious and the guests had a great time.

Saturday, April 24, 2010 - Chef Matt and his team put on a 10 course dinner party, beginning with Osetra Caviar 5 ways and finishing with 5 different tastings of fish, including Yellowtail Sashimi and Chilean Sea Bass with an Artichoke Ravioli and Green Pea Puree. Only the finest French Burgundy Wines were served and the guests all marveled out a beautiful view of LA from a spectacular home in the Hollywood Hills.

Sunday, April 4, 2010 - Chef Matt cooked a 4 course Easter meal for Peter Fonda and his family in the Pacific Palisades. Argentinian wine was served alongside three savory courses and a dessert. The meal included a Sweet Onion Soup with Modern Art Catering's Red Onion Marmalade and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes. Crisped Proscuitto on Asparagus with a Poached Egg and Parmesan Custard was also a big hit!
